 If you thought all Dub was the same...think again!! Dr. Echo is back and in full stride with Dr. Echo Presents Solange ST. Croix - Echo Evahlastin'.
This is a tightly produced CD blends the hypnotic spoken word of Solange St. Croix over Dr. Echo's outstanding dub arrangements.
This is one CD that I could not just casually listen to on my computer. The captivating words of Solange command attention while the tightly produced beats and musical arrangement demanded that I pump this up on at full volume.
A very nice mix of edgy dub laced with sultry spoken word. I have to admit "Our Relationship" blew me away and the powerful words and driving beat of "The Rape of Sonia Sanchez" is too tough.
Dr. Echo pushes the boundaries with the last track being a little abstract. Not necessarily my favorite track but it shows that Dr. Echo is not confined to one style.
